My love for creating art stemed from my recollection of the first painting I can remember creating in John Ball Primary school aged 5 of a house painted in Blue with a Yellow sun in the sky, it was then after the lesson had finished and the paints and paper were packed away that i had some realisation on a deeper level that this activity is what I wanted to emmerse my time in.

I went on to win the Art trophy at that school the year before I left to attend secondary school. A lot of my childhood was spent drawing comic characters, trains and cars, I was a massive fan of Marvel comics, 2000 A.D and Giles which helped my artist eye to develop during those formative years. I had a lot of encouragement from my Mother, and Grandparents on her side of the family who really thought I had a natural talent that should be nurtured, I can remember the encouraging voice of my Grandfather to this day as he had taken up art as a hobby in his later years and was always really impressed by the art I was producing at such an early age

At 1 1 1 then attended Thomas Tallis secondary school with my favourite lesson predominately being art, I soon discovered artists like M.C Escher, H.R Giger and Salvador Dali, these artists further opened up my creative mind to the realms of imagination even more than I had been exposed to via the world of comics. At this point I also took up learning the guitar. I remember being quite prolific during this period of my artistic creativity and have many of my works from this period of my GSCEs.

I then choose to do an art A level which helped me to secure a place at Central St

Martin's school of art.

Between the period of doing my GCSEs and A levels I got into Graffiti as an art form and came up with a tag name "UNKNOWN which I then became obsessed with graffiti around my local area and beyond which then evolved into changing it to "KNOWN" because it was everywhere.

My year at Central St Martin's exposed me to more ideas in the world of art like photography and Print making where we were encouraged to let go of any styles we had come to the course with and experiment in using different mediums. We also went on a trip to Amsterdam where I was first introduced to the works of Vincent Van Gogh at his museum. Seeing his pieces in real life had a profound affect on me which is something that his seeped into my very being which has been a huge influence in my work with his artwork having very textured Sensory feel to it. Once you've been to an art gallery and seen works by the great masters it somehow manages to work its way through you're own artistic endeavours. After my foundation I then went on to study at London Colledge of printing doing a bachelors degree in Graphics and illustration design.

My heart at this point was really in Graffiti and making music, I choose this course as I thought it would give me more career opportunities once completed, i would rather of just done a fine art painting course but the reality of life and getting a proper job starts to manifest ifself as one approaches their twenties. During this time my life went a bit sideways as all the Graffiti I had been doing had caught the attention of British Trasnport police who

had accumulated photos of my graffiti work and made a file on me. I got caught one night doing some reckless tagging in London Bridge on the newly installed cctv cameras and then busted the same night way out in Catford walking up to Bromley with my friend Acid tagging up the streets, Caught red handed!!

I then had to face the storm which ended up in a 6 week custodial sentence, the only thing that stopped it from being a harsher sentence was that I was studying to get a degree.

I then came out of Feltham and got back on with completing my course. Which I ended up getting a bachors degree in Graphics and Illustration. With my Graffiti days I thought having come to an end and not having any success in getting any employment as an illustrator/Graphics designer I got more into songwriting and perfroming in bands, I formed a band called KNOWN of which there is a documentary on YouTube.

I wasn't really doing much 1 1 m the way of art during this period, I rememeber a phase of painting serveral quite big canvases that would later become a signature style that i l m Known for doing which seems to be an amalgamation of MC Echer, Vincent Van Gogh and my own Graffiti style, I will be show casing these paintings here at some point. During this semi idle period the odd commission would come up one of the positive things from my notorioty as a graffiti artist, a notable one being huge 4 panel mural out Brockely train station that commuters would see, which is now gone due to the building which the mural was on being knocked down for redevelopment. I have actually photographs that I will dig out and

upload to this site at some point.

This mural lead to me being head hunted my the owner of a tattoo studio who tracked me down to an open mic night called The Easy Come Acoustic club that I used to attend, where apon he offered me an apprenticeship to learn the art of tattooing which is an art form I've also been fascinated with and really wanted to learn but back in the 90 1s it was still pretty much of a closed off industry to anyone wanting to get into. So I grabbed the bull by the horns and got into learning the art of tattooing which led to me working in a couple of studios, appearing in the prank show "Balls of steel" and eventually opening my own studio in 2016.

Because I had been so prolific as a graffiti artist the odd opportunity would come up, I was contacted by a magazine called Graphotism who wanted to do a feature interview on me and put me on the front cover of their publication, I was then Informed by them that a writer had a short story published in a compilation of short stories for Timeout magazine, the story was titled "KNOWN" which has some references to my Graffiti in the story. I will scan the pages and post them on my site. This feature opportunity is what led to me ending up in Brixton prison which was a reql bummer. As I was going around with one of the editors taking pictures for the publication of some of my Graffiti that was still around London I got bit by the bug again and decided to do dub in broad daylight on an abandoned buildings chimney stack quite high up but was spotted my a fire station senior officer who then reported what he was seeing to the police....Busted! After that I totally quit graffiti as the joy had gone from the possibility of doing time. Which didn't make sense anymore.

After 7 years my band KNOWN came to an end and I evolved into a one man band which is what I have gained the most success and recognition for worldwide. I have got back into art on and off during those years, I would grab my easel and oil paints and find a view somewhere and paint in a way reminiscent of the impressionists.

During the lockdowns I got back into creating some pieces based on what was happening in the pandemic, a lot of this work seemed to be very triggering for people but for me it was a very tongue in cheek sartorical take on what was happening, suffice to say after some posts of these works I would see my followers dissappear in the thousands!!

I still have these works and will commit to posting them.

I also experimented during that period with my artwork developing new ideas such as my cherry blossom swirling drip paintings. To my surprise during this period of creativity and posting my efforts onto my music related social media pages I started to sell some of these pieces to fans of my music.

After the pandemic and everything returning to some what of a normality, and being side tracked into working on construction sites something I didn't want to do. The ability to be able to perform music again opened back up.

I started creating art again on and off during 2022-2023 but not really maintaining any consistency. I then met Louise in 2023 which is the year that I have kick started a new consistent flow of prolific constant creative artistic output. I have contributed this to Louise introducing me to a place called Antibes in the South of France which is famed for its light which in itself has inspired many of the great artists, from Renoir to Picasso. I think it was second visit that I decided to pack some small canvases and oils and that's the point where I have embarked on my current artistic journey to this current point in time, where I have been doing a lot of studies of Antibes in my sketch book and on canvas exploring and experimenting working losely at times to see where the free flow of art and the magical atmosphere of Antibes can take me. This has also Inspired me to revisting my old style that I mentioned earlier and develop that in a new refreshed evolved way. This site has is now split into Art and

Music as they both things that I love and

do with equal passion and intensity. There will be originals up for sale as well as limited edition signed prints and other merch available from my site both Art and Music related.
